Let's get your Verify portal
set up now.
Easy, peasy.
Four steps and your Verify portal is live.
Most organizations are up and running in under 15 minutes.
Start with your basic details.
Enter initial information about your company. This gets you started. Everything can be further populated and updated at any time after you go live.
Update your DNS record.
Add one CNAME record with your domain host to connect your Verify portal to your company's website (verify.yourcompany.com). We'll walk you through it. It just takes a few minutes.
Go live.
Hit Publish. Your Verify portal will quickly be accessible to your clients, vendors, and others at verify.yourcompany.com, once the CNAME record has updated.
Share.
Once you've published, start saving time and building trust. Use your Verify portal to send out invitations to trusted partners, integrate the link into your invoices (Quickbooks, etc.), and more.
Basic information.
Start here. You can always come back and add more later.
Set Access Controls
Decide who can view your portal and how they access it. You can keep it fully public, or require a passcode for an extra layer of security.
- Choose visibility: Public (anyone with the link) or Password-protected
- Set a passcode (optional) — e.g. share it with clients on an invoice
- Choose notification preferences: receive an alert every time someone views your portal
- Optionally restrict access to specific email domains (e.g. @yourpartner.com only)
Preview Your Portal
Before going live, let's review exactly what people will see.
Your Verify portal is not publicly visible until you click Publish in the next step.
Set up your CNAME record.
Let's get you going. You'll need some instructions from your domain host, but we'll walk you through it.
- Log in to your domain registrar (e.g. GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Google Domains)
- Navigate to DNS settings for your domain
- Add a new CNAME record:
DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate, though most registrars apply them within minutes. Once active, your portal will show a green padlock and HTTPS.
Go Live
Enter your website URL in Step 1 and we'll check whether your CNAME is live.
Stingray will send you a weekly digest of who has accessed your portal, so you always know exactly who's checking your details.
Share.
- Copy your portal link from the dashboard
- Add the link to your email signature
- Include it on your invoices (QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Wave, etc.)
- Add a "Verify Us" button or banner to your website
- Send an invitation directly to trusted partners and clients
- Share it in your onboarding materials and contracts
| Type | Name / Host | Value / Points to | TTL |
|---|---|---|---|
| CNAME | verify | portals.stingray.security | Auto / 3600 |
The more places you share your portal link, the more you protect your clients — and yourself. Every view is logged so you always know who checked your details.
